PhD students in our Rights and Freedoms research cluster in the School of Law recently organised an Interdisciplinary event “Human Rights: Relevant in the 21st century?” The event took the form of speed dating, divided into 6 minute slots and moving around the room to give all involved – staff and PhD students - an informal opportunity to discuss their research. Topics varied widely from access to justice and human freedom to specific topics such as elder abuse, torture and traditional arts’ revival in Greenland. The organisers (Maria Javed, Anna Davies and Marie Steinbrecher) thank all participants.
