Professor Gregory Claeys wins fifth annual Cantemir Prize

Royal Holloway historian and Professor of the History of Political Thought, Gregory Claeys, is awarded the 2018 Cantemir Prize.

The Cantemir Prize is awarded by the Berendel Foundation for contributions to humanistic education. The 5th annual award was given to Gregory Claeys on 22 June 2018, and presented by Prince Radu of Romania, at Peleş Castle, Sinaia.  The dedication reads: "For his seminal work as a historian of modern political thought, as an educator and mentor, and as a promoter of the study of Utopianism". The award ceremony can be seen here.
